ebXML standards
The current global XML standard offering (version 1.3) is based on a methodology that was applied according to the ebXML specifications back in 2001.
A global GS1 project was concluded in 2003 that focused on developing an e-business methodology that was aligned with the mature and stable ebXML specifications. By mid 2005 GS1 will have re-worked the current XML standards to be aligned with this new approach.
